LEONARD TAN

Leonard launched BSV's first investment SPV, Bamboo Ventures 1 LLP to explore early stage tech opportunities. He is also a Partner at Bamboo Sea Pte Ltd, where he is focusing on advising fintech and technology start-ups.

Prior to this, he spent most of his career in corporate finance and business consulting at CapitalCorp Partners. He has advised many tech-related companies, spanning from breakthroughs in solar energy and photonics, to a multimedia design and graphics education company, providing capital raising and strategic M&A advisory.

Leonard holds an MBA from Imperial College London that specialises in Entrepreneurship, and Second Class (Upper) honours in LLB from University of London and Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Business School, NTU Singapore.

His guilty pleasure is to watch videos of dogs eating and enjoying their meals on Youtube.

ALVIN LEONG

Alvin has 17 years of experience in investment banking and entrepreneurship, with a passion for technology and its possibilities. As COO of 3dsense Media School since 2012, he drove digital marketing, strategy and scaling efforts as they expanded into new markets with purpose. Today, 3dsense ranks consistently as a top 10 school globally across all its courses from digital animation to game art, visual effects and motion design.

In his earlier career, he was an investment banker at Barclays Capital in Hong Kong / Singapore originating debt capital markets and structured financing, before moving into fixed income / FX derivatives institutional sales at OCBC Bank.

Alvin holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University College London.

In his free time, he attempts to feed his family and his curiosity.

YUAN WENYUN

Wenyun is currently the Managing Partner at Bamboo Sea Pte Ltd with over 10 years of experience in audit and consulting at multinational companies. Wenyun has acted as the CFO for fintech and crypto companies such as Global DCX, Wowoo X, and provided financial services for digital marketing company, Emantic Solutions.

Previously, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Fraser & Neave, where he gained functional knowledge such as sales and marketing, accounting and finance, as well as industry expertise in family offices, technology, hospitality, healthcare and F&B. He is also a Partner at Bamboo Ventures 1 LLP - BSV's first investment holding parthership.

Wenyun holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Singapore Management University. He is also a Chartered Accountant and an Enterprise Singapore recognised Management Consultant.

Wenyun is an avid dancer, from Mambo Jambo at Zouk to West Coast Swing. So far, he has not stepped on too many toes.

CHRISTOPHER TAN

Venture Partner and Social Entrepreneur

Dr Christopher Tan is a dental surgeon and the Managing Partner of a group of dental clinics. He is perhaps better described as a business owner and entrepreneur having successfully exited some of these ventures, as well as a seasoned investor in tech and crypto assets.

Before starting his chain of clinics, he handled the division of dental services under Healthway Medical Group, a listed company in Singapore. Currently he advises on dental business setups in Australia and Canada.

He is a mentor in the Melbourne Dental School Mentoring Programme and also the Melbourne University Alumni Mentor Programme where he obtained his professional qualifications as a dental surgeon.
